However, when I try to boot now, I can successfully boot into Windows, but when I decide to boot into OpenSUSE I am stuck on this GRUB4DOS prompt.
Instead of installing GRUB2 onto the MBR, I installed it on root and let EasyBCD on Windows handle the MBR. Therefore, I was thinking I could install a customized GRUB bootloader on it instead such that it will have the option to PXE boot an image from a DHCP server connected to it and have the option to load Windows as it normally does (two items in menu). I decided to dual boot OpenSUSE and Windows 7.

Grub2 recommended you do not do that as it does not really fit in a PBR and has to hard code things making it more fragile. You have to install grub2 from your Ubuntu install into the PBR, partition boot sector of the Linux install. The BIOS does not support PXE booting so this is out of the question. A few that booted Windows most of the time have used EasyBCD and the old grub4dos. I currently have a Windows drive that boots XP. Your best option is to boot into Linux and edit /etc/nf or /boot/nf or /boot/grub/menu.lst file and place following code for Windows XP or Windows Vista: Open grub configuration file. Hex edit the bootsector and replace the text string NTLDR with GRLDR. Asked this in stackoverflow but they recommended I post this here: You can enter the GRUB command to boot into Window vista but it requires very good understanding of devices. If the active partition contains a Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 bootsector (boot sector loads 'NTLDR') an alternative method of installing Grub4dos to the partition boot sector is possible.
